Prevention and Resources
Child and Family Law Help and Prevention Resources
The AMO Society provides prevention tactics and resources for the primary principle of keeping families together. We assert that parents and guardians, as well as families, of an Awasisahk have the primary role in safeguarding and promoting the Awasisahk’s wellbeing. It is our belief that supporting the family and parent/guardian of an Awasisahk should be a preferred way of protecting the child and keeping families together.
We provide services to Parents, Guardians, Families, and Tribal Citizens in a manner that is respectful to their traditions, culture, values, and language. We acknowledge that an Awasisahk has the right to life in a safe home free of violence and abuse where they are protected from harm with stable, secure, and safe relationships and living arrangements. If intervention is necessary to safeguard the wellbeing of the Awasisahk, it should still promote family and tribal continuity and integrity.
The AMO Society does everything possible to first prevent families from being broken. We provide resources to help parents and guardians maintain a healthy and safe environment for the Awasisahk. We provide extensive resources to help parents, guardians, and families with mental health, addiction recovery, housing, and more. If you’re in need of resources to help ensure the safety and wellbeing of your Awasisahk, please contact us.
